The Director, HRBP & Operations will build partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives. You will provide guidance based on regulations and company policies / practices to ensure compliance. You will be accountable for developing / streamlining program and systems administration, while establishing and / or improving processes to support the scaling of our company.
Responsibilities :
Lead and direct the routine functions of the People (HR) department, including administering pay, benefits, leave and enforcing company policies and practices.
Facilitate and execute employee onboarding, i9 verifications & offboarding.
Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
Manage one People Ops Specialist.
Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal counsel as needed / required.
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Plan, lead, direct, develop and coordinate the policies, activities and staff of the People (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission and talent strategy.
Lead and ensure operationalization of company policies and programs (systems and processes).
Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice and resources to upper management.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
6+ years of HR / People experience, 3+ years of HRBP related experience.
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management and federal and state respective employment laws.
Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices and the administrative practices related to those factors.
