Job Title : Field Service Engineer

Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation and verification of equipment during implementation projects, working under the guidance of the Service Engineering Manager. You will maintain effective communication with the Implementation Project Manager and the customer. Your role will include providing technical support for product transition to the service phase, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and implementing assigned upgrades. You will also investigate service cases, proposing corrective, preventive, and improvement solutions for both hardware and software.

Responsibilities

Install and verify equipment during implementation projects.

Communicate effectively with the Implementation Project Manager and customers.

Provide technical support for product transition to the service phase.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of products post-release.

Execute assigned upgrades on equipment.

Investigate service cases and propose solutions for hardware and software improvements.

Essential Skills

Strong technical skills in electronics, electrical systems, robotics, vision systems, sensors, and basic pneumatics.

Good communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Post-secondary Technical Education in Automation and Robotics, or equivalent.

Additional training and experience in electronics, mechanics, and maintenance.

Knowledge of Spanish is an asset.

Availability to travel.

Motivation for new technologies.

Good communication and management skills.

Proficiency in office software.

Familiarity with the medical / pharmacy industry is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a 100% remote role that will require 50% travel. Most sites are located in the Northeast / East coast, with additional sites in Texas, Seattle, and Vancouver (Canada). It is preferable for candidates to be based in the Northeast / East / South to facilitate easier travel.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00 / hr.
