Responsibilities Position is in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) within a hospital setting Care for adult and geriatric patient population Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1 : 2 Requires day shifts (3x12 hours, 7 : 00-19 : 30) Expect to work approximately 6 weekend shifts per 8-week schedule, depending on staffing needs Floating to adult inpatient areas may be required based on patient census and staffing Royal blue scrubs are required Must complete bi-weekly orientation sessions Annual and specialty-specific learning modules are required and tracked Assignments available to both local and travel candidates; locals considered within a 75-mile radius Requested time off is limited to 5-7 days per assignment and must be submitted for consideration Work within a supportive MICU team and participate in collaborative care Holiday coverage may be required as scheduled Requirements Active NC or compact RN license in hand Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required Prior Medical ICU (MICU) experience required Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS Must provide 1 supervisory reference from within the last year Flu vaccine required with no exemptions or declinations accepted Full SSN and date of birth must be provided First-time travelers are not eligible for this position Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-639828.
