Minimum Qualifications

Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education / experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience conducting trainings or providing.
  • Knowledge and / or certification in QPR and Mental Health First Aid.
  • Experience planning or assisting with events.
  • Experience in management of electronic databases.

Position Summary

The Community of Care Coordinator for Well-being is a key member of the Student Care and Outreach ( SCO ) team, dedicated to fostering a culture of care, connection, and well-being across the University of Georgia. This position supports the university's holistic approach to student well-being by building strategic partnerships, coordinating outreach and training efforts, and providing real-time support to students in crisis. This role will report to the Director of Student Care and Outreach.

    Well-being Initiatives :

  • Collaborate with the Director of SCO to design and implement tailored interventions that address emerging well-being issues affecting UGA students.
  • Partner with the Greek Life Office to coordinate outreach, programming, and resources for students affiliated with the four Greek councils.
  • Serve as an active member of the UGA Well-being team, contributing to cross-campus initiatives that promote student health and resilience.
  • Develop and manage marketing and digital engagement content in collaboration with campus partners to promote well-being resources and events.
  • Supervise volunteers or student staff that are engaged with specific projects, initiatives, or programming.

    Training and Outreach Coordination :

  • Assist with the coordination and execution of the Support Dawgs Training program, including scheduling, facilitator recruitment, logistics, and continuous improvement of training content.
  • Analyze university data to identify trends and opportunities for targeted outreach and partnership development.
  • Coordinate and participate in outreach efforts to campus departments and student organizations to raise awareness of Well-being resources, including the services offered by SCO .
  • Collaborate with other UGA Well-being units to co-develop and deliver educational workshops and trainings that promote a culture of care and proactive support.
  • Represent SCO at campus events, tabling opportunities, and student engagement activities to increase visibility and accessibility of support services.

    Management of Referral Network :

  • Build and maintain relationships with community-based mental health providers, treatment facilities, and basic needs organizations to ensure seamless referral pathways to and from SCO .
  • Monitor and interpret federal, state, and institutional policies related to mental health and student well-being, and recommend procedural updates as needed.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date record of referral relationships and resource connections for internal use by SCO staff.
  • Serve as a liaison between students and campus / community resources during times of distress, helping to coordinate care and follow-up.
