Job Specialist - YOUTHWORKS

Overview

Idaho Youth Ranch is seeking dedicated volunteers to serve as Job Specialists , helping young people prepare for, find, and succeed in meaningful employment. Volunteers in this role provide guidance, coaching, and encouragement to youth as they build the skills and confidence needed to pursue their career goals.

Responsibilities

• Meet with youth to explore career interests, strengths, and goals
• Assist with resume writing, job applications, and interview preparation
• Lead or support workshops on job readiness and workplace skills
• Provide encouragement and mentorship throughout the job search process
• Connect youth with community resources and opportunities
• Support staff with tracking youth progress and celebrating milestones
