Candidate Profile
Latino Network seeks a bilingual, bi-cultural mission-driven professional with nonprofit and community experience with parent-child groups and one-on-one support for parents of young children (0-6 years old). The Parent Educator will lead a full range of activities for a growing program. As part of a dedicated team, the Parent Educator supports program development and implementation and works with team members to facilitate parent-child groups, build community partnerships, and empower parents. The role requires excellent communication with parents to identify and meet their goals while supporting the development of their young children.
Position Summary
This role provides families with culturally specific home visits, personal instruction, and demonstrations of appropriate educational activities. It involves facilitating parent-child groups several times per month, maintaining organized files for each family to support parent goals, delivering a research-based curriculum and materials, and conducting screenings for children birth to age three (vision, hearing, language development, motor development, health, etc.).

Physical Demands
The role may require lifting up to 25 pounds regularly, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, and frequent manual handling. Regular use of hands, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, and other activities are needed. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.
Work Environment
