Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Gardener / Landscape Technician to join our landscaping team. This position plays a vital role in the design, installation, and maintenance of both residential and commercial outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have experience in horticulture, landscape maintenance, and sprinkler system installation, along with a passion for creating functional and beautiful environments.

Responsibilities

Horticulture & Plant Care

Perform planting, pruning, fertilizing, and maintenance of a wide range of plant species

Implement pest control strategies and ensure healthy plant growth

Understand soil types and prepare planting beds accordingly

Landscape Installation & Design

Interpret and execute landscape design plans

Install softscape and hardscape elements such as sod, mulch, rock, trees, and shrubs

Coordinate with clients and team members to deliver custom landscape solutions

Irrigation & Sprinkler Systems

Install and repair sprinkler and drip irrigation systems

Set up and adjust controllers based on seasonal requirements

Diagnose irrigation issues and recommend improvements

General Landscape Maintenance

Regularly mow, weed, edge, and clean landscaped areas

Operate landscaping equipment and perform routine maintenance on tools

Support seasonal cleanup and snow removal when applicable

Qualifications

2+ years of professional experience in landscaping, horticulture, or groundskeeping

Working knowledge of regional plant materials and climate conditions

Proven experience installing and troubleshooting irrigation systems

Ability to follow landscape design plans and adapt as needed on-site

Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in horticulture, landscape design, or irrigation systems

Experience using landscape design software or CAD tools

Bilingual abilities (English / Spanish) a plus
