Job description

EarthCam is the global leader in providing webcam content, technology and services. Founded in 1996, EarthCam provides live streaming video, time-lapse construction cameras, and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for AI-powered visual asset management.

We are seeking an experienced and creative Kotlin / Android Developer to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code following best programming practices
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
  • Participate in the complete app lifecycle, including concept, requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and release
  • Conduct unit testing to ensure robustness, including edge cases, usability, and reliability
  • Collaborate closely with the UI / UX, QA, and Backend teams to enhance our android applications

Requirements

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of experience in Android development
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of the latest Android features
  • Proficiency Java and Kotlin
  • Experience with SQLite / Room Framework
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and networking
  • Experience with Rxjava
  • Experience with Retrofit and / or OkHttp libraries
