Complex Assistant Director of Sales - Hilton San Francisco Union Square and Parc 55
We are seeking an experienced sales leader to manage a high-value group segment while mentoring team members. Hilton’s Commercial Services organization drives sales, revenue, marketing, catering and events management, call centers, and analytics functions that form Hilton’s commercial engine for profitable growth.
What you will be doing
- Support the group sales team at the hotel / complex and contribute to business strategies that drive the annual budget and crossover targets.
- Own and manage a key vertical market for the hotel; provide leadership support to commercial strategies for the sales team.
- Help the sales team connect strategy and business processes to improve performance.
- Execute business processes that impact revenue streams including Rooms, Catering and Events.
- Support deployment, team composition, and activities that drive a predictive and prescriptive approach to performance.
- Demonstrate strong sales, communication, and networking skills; apply a disciplined approach to qualify, negotiate and secure new revenue.
- Apply customer and account management skills to create customer value and differentiate Hilton from the competition.
- Proactively prospect, identify potential customers, and implement call strategies; negotiate and secure new business.
Strategy
Contribute to the hotel’s annual multi-year strategic intentions and commercial strategy with the hotel leadership team and regional support.Engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureau, and intermediaries to retain existing customers and win new business.Develop and execute plans for outside sales calls, industry tradeshows, and customer events.Develop, execute, and communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual business plans for designated markets.Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of opportunities aligned with short- and long-term objectives.Represent the hotel in sales interactions, create business proposals, and execute contracts.Conduct site inspections with prospective and existing customers based on their needs.Maintain awareness of the competitive marketplace and industry trends in the hotel's market.Leadership
Lead segments of daily and weekly business review and sales strategy meetings.Collaborate with DOSM / DOS to shape and socialize the commercial strategy plan.Contribute to sales site visit strategies and approaches.Ensure adherence to Hilton brand standards and use of corporate tools.Lead enterprise and hotel-level sales initiatives (e.g., Week of Engagement events).Support sales team members when they are absent or remotely based.Provide performance feedback for sales managers and staff.Foster a culture aligned with Hilton’s DEI and ESG goals.What we are looking for
Minimum 4–5 years in a Senior Sales Manager role within a large hotel.Ability to travel on short notice and adapt to schedule changes.Strong professional presentations and written / oral communication skills.Comfortable working in a city-wide market.Experience prospecting, closing business, and communicating with clients.Qualifications and attributes
Affiliation with professional organizations related to the travel industry (preferred).Full-service hotel experience (preferred).Salary and incentives
The annual salary range for this role is $140,000–$160,000 and is based on experience and location.
Hilton offers a Short-Term Incentive Plan (SIP) with a quarterly component of 20% of bonus-eligible earnings. Payout depends on multiple objectives; a revenue goal of $200k or greater is required for uncapped payout. The plan has a cap at 60% of payout at 250% achievement when quarterly waterline revenue goals are not met.
