Job Title :

  • UX Designer Location : Linthicum Heights, MD About the Role : As a UX Designer at 1 Alpha Consulting, you will be the champion for user needs, designing intuitive, engaging, and responsive user experience for state services and other client projects.
  • Your work will directly impact the usability and accessibility of critical platforms, improving service delivery and user satisfaction.

    • Your Impact :

  • As a UX Designer, you will : Design and implement responsive web and mobile user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, and Bootstrap frameworks.
  • Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, user flows, and personas to guide development teams and stakeholders.
  • Conduct usability testing and iterate designs rapidly based on user feedback and quantitative metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with business analysts, UI engineers, researchers, and client support teams to deliver cohesive and accessible user experiences.
  • Translate complex concepts into clear design artifacts including journey maps, mockups, and storyboards.
  • Ensure user interfaces comply with UI / UX standards and accessibility guidelines.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to capture operational needs and gather stakeholders feedback.
  • These responsibilities are not exhaustive; additional tasks may be assigned.

    • Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in user experience and service design, including responsive web and mobile design.
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular and Bootstrap.
  • Experience creating wireframes and prototypes using modern UI / UX design tools.

    • Standout Qualifications :

  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented and mission-driven environment.
  • Prior experience working with government or public sector clients is a plus.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • This role is primarily sedentary, requiring the ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Must have adequate vision (corrected if necessary) to review detailed design elements on screen.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and finger movements for tasks such as typing, mouse use, and design tool navigation.
  • Occasional standing or walking during meetings or collaborative sessions.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in person and virtually.
  • Work environment is typically indoors in an office or remote setting with ergonomic workstation support.

    • Pay Range :

  • $40 / hr. - $50 / hr.
