Requirements
Completion of A.S., B.S. or certificate in Radiologic technologyRegistered in MRI or registered in MRI within one year of completing training Extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiologyExtensive knowledge of medical terminologyKnowledge of MRI principles and pulse sequencesAbility to properly position patients and program imaging to ensure high quality and accurate MRI examinationsAbility to recognize pathology and adjust scanning parametersMust be capable of interacting and communicating with nurses, physicians and radiologistKnowledge of MRI safety practicesUnderstanding basic quality control and quality assurance proceduresBasic networking and PACs knowledgeExcellent patient services skills including working with claustrophobic patientsDependable and capable of adjusting schedules to meet workload demands and staffing demandsAbility to properly perform venipuncture and contrast administrationTOA is an equal opportunity employer.
