This position ensures all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) while mentoring other technicians and contributing to continuous improvement across the maintenance function.

You Will Be Responsible For
Planning and performing preventive maintenance and repairs on process equipment, including bioreactors, centrifuges, ultrafiltration skids, parts washers, autoclaves, isolators, and fillersDeveloping and implementing preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtimeWriting, revising, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance activitiesTraining and mentoring maintenance technicians to promote skill growth and technical consistencyMaintaining accurate documentation of maintenance work and inspectionsEvaluating and recommending new equipment purchases, upgrades, or process improvementsAssisting management in budget development and forecasting for maintenance and capital projectsProviding input on maintenance schedules and resource planningEnsuring all work follows safety procedures, SOPs, and cGMP standardsReporting unsafe conditions to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and managementParticipating in required safety and health trainingSupporting off-hour or emergency maintenance operations as neededConducting spare parts assessments and maintaining inventory readinessPerforming other related duties as assignedYou Will Bring the Following
Minimum Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 6 years of maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or similar manufacturing environmentExperience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Preferred Education & Experience
Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing maintenanceExperience with Project Management or Lean Six Sigma principlesExperience mentoring or leading maintenance teamsCertifications (Preferred)
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP),Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT), or equivalentKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systemsIn-depth understanding of cGMP requirements and documentation standardsProven leadership, communication, and mentoring abilitiesExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsStrong project management and organizational capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectivelyKnowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principlesAttention to detail, accuracy, and complianceDecision-Making & Scope
