Senior Emergency Department Technician / Paramedic (24 Hours, Evenings / Nights, 3p-3a)

Schedule : 24 Hours, Evenings / Nights, 3p-3a, Every Other Weekend, Part Time, Benefit Eligible

Position Summary :

Performs all patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse and functions in the role of assistant to the nursing staff. This includes greeting admissions, taking and recording vital signs, performing EKG's, insertion and removal of IVs, assisting with procedures, providing hygiene and nutrition, feeding patients as needed and making rounds on a group of assigned patients, stocking supplies, transferring patients to Med / Surg and Telemetry units, and assisting with cleaning patient care equipment.

Responsibilities :

• Performs all patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse and functions in the role of assistant to the nursing staff.
• Provides and maintains a safe and comfortable environment for the patient :

Assists patients getting in and out of bed.

Preparation of the unit.

Partial bed baths, assistance with shower and sit baths, as appropriate, for patient.

Appropriately cares for patients on precautions.

Required Knowledge & Skills :

Compensation Range : $22.76- $33.83
