Position Overview
- Assist surgical team in preparing the operating room and instruments for general surgery procedures
- Maintain sterile field and anticipate needs of surgeons and staff during operations
- Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies to surgical team efficiently and safely
- Perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure accuracy
- Assist with room turnover and sterilization processes between cases
- Follow safety, infection control, and patient care protocols
