Job descriptionMust be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent with some college preferred. Good communication, documentation, interpretive, interview and interrogation skills. Must be able to obtain a Denver City and County Security Guard License. (Fees Applicable) One-year previous loss prevention experience preferred. Possess good oral and written English skills and be able to communicate with guests and other employees effectively. Available to work overtime. Available to work weekends and holidays. Attention to detail. All job offers contingent on passing a criminal, drug, alcohol, and social security background check. Must be able to walk or stand at least six hours per day. Requires occasional kneeling and bending. Requires occasional reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling. Requires occasional lifts and carries up to 30 pounds. Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye / hand coordination, near vision, hearing and speech. JOB SUMMARY :
Responsible for preventing theft and loss of company assets. Due to the exposure of confidential information and resources, this position is not eligible for department transfer except in cases of promotional opportunities.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responsible for preventing the loss of any of the company’s assets when possible and to recover those assets and apprehend the individuals that cause a loss when necessary
- Conduct operating audits in all departments
- Collect and evaluate accounting information
- Conduct surveillance to help with an investigation
- Collect information needed for criminal and civil prosecution of cases
- Must maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
- Other duties as assigned
