  • Job Type : Travel RN (locum tenens)\n
  • Shift : 12-hour nights (18 : 45 – 07 : 15)\n
  • Hours : 36 guaranteed per week\n
  • Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 1 / 2025 – End : 3 / 2 / 2026)\n
  • Weekend / Holiday : 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks; 2 of 5 holidays (including eves)\n
  • Unit Size : 15 beds\n
  • Scrub Color : Navy Blue\n
  • Charting : EPIC electronic health record system\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active RN license in Arizona or compact state (Registered Nurse)\n
  • At least 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience\n
  • BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred\n
  • Proficient in telemetry monitoring and centralized monitoring systems\n
  • Comfortable with nurse-patient ratio of 1 : 6-7 during night shifts\n
  • Willing to float to Med / Surg towers as needed\n
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills\n

    • \n\nMed / Surg RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver direct nursing care to patients with cardiac rule out, low heart score, surgical, abdominal pain, pneumonia, COPD, radiation, AKI, and occasional surgical cases\n
  • Collaborate with charge nurses, midlevel providers, and patient care assistants (2 per shift)\n
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry data for patient safety\n
  • Accurately document patient care using EPIC charting system\n
  • Participate in unit orientation and ongoing nursing education\n
  • Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff\n
  • Float to other Medical Surgical units as required\n
