Labor and Delivery RN Job Details

Location : Biddeford, ME 04005 (Maine nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Labor and Delivery Unit

Employment Type : Travel Nursing Assignment

Start Date : September 7, 2025

End Date : March 5, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Nursing Shift : 6 : 30 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Position Type : Part-time, 24-hour evening / night position

Estimated Weekly Salary : $20 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications

Fetal monitoring education completed

STABLE certification preferred

Labor and Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a clinical setting

Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout the labor and delivery process

Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Perform and document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes

Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care procedures

Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered environment for all patients and staff
