Position Title : Customer Service Representative

Location : Portland, OR 97227

Duration : 03+ months of contract ( Contract-to-Hire)

Pay Rate : $20.50 / hr. on W2

Shift : 2nd Shift | 2 : 00 PM – 10 : 30 PM (Full-Time)

Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative will play a key role in supporting the hospital lab by answering internal calls from various departments regarding lab tests, orders, and results. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound calls regarding testing, orders, and results from hospital departments.
  • Provide accurate information in response to inquiries about services.
  • Document and track all customer interactions in the system.
  • Resolve customer service or billing complaints via refunds, adjustments, or service follow-up.
  • Refer unresolved issues to appropriate departments for further resolution.
  • Maintain clear and organized records of calls and issues handled.

Required Skills

  • 0–2 years of customer service experience (healthcare setting preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management abilities
  • Proficient in computer systems (e.g., MS Outlook, data entry software)
  • Ability to accurately record client data and maintain confidential information
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a healthcare or lab environment
  • Familiarity with lab testing or medical terminology
  • Education Requirements

  • Minimum : High school diploma or GED
