Job description

Consilio is seeking an Associate Attorney – Insurance Coverage Practice Group for a law firm client in DC this is a full time, permanent and benefited position.

Washington DC
Hybrid : 2 days in office / / 3 remote
Billable Hours : 1,900 / yr

Key Responsibilities

Conduct legal research on coverage and litigation issues

Perform coverage analysis, including insurance policy and claims review

Draft coverage position letters

Handle all aspects of insurance coverage litigation (pleadings, discovery, motions, trial, settlement)

Author articles on timely insurance topics

Education & Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Admission to MD and / or VA Bars plus DC Bar or waiver eligibility

1-3 years of property / casualty insurance coverage experience required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Ability to manage a diverse caseload, prioritize, and meet deadlines

Self-starter with a proactive approach and ownership of tasks

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range : $125,000 – $145,000, commensurate with experience

Eligibility for the Firm’s billable-hours bonus program and collections bonus program
