Follows all policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients, public and staff. Completes annual education, training, in-service, and licensure / certification requirements; attends departmental and organizational staff meetings or reads meeting minutes. Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work within designated timeframes. Establishes and maintains effective verbal and written communication and good working relationships with all patients, staff and vendors. Utilizes initiative; strives to maintain steady level of productivity; self-motivated; manages activity and time. Actively participates in departmental and facility performance improvement and continuous quality initiatives. Must be at least 16 years of age (21 for driving positions). Must be able to legally work in the United States. Must be able to pass a background check. Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable). Must complete employee health meeting. o Unencumbered RN License - Colorado or Compact State 2 years hospital nursing experience preferred. 1 year Emergency Department or Critical Care Nursing preferred.

Position Specific Performance Expectations :
- Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources
- Requires prioritization and critical thinking skills, a decisive judgement, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
- Comply with triage, treatment, evaluation, and documentation guidelines
- Uses evidence-based practices and competence to collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality outcomes and coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual / psychosocial support needs
- Identifies barriers to effective communication based on psychosocial, literacy, financial, and cultural considerations
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and / or family and provides patient / family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance
- Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel, may precept student nurses and new hires
- Practice according to professional and ethical standards as noted in the ANA Code of Ethics and Colorado State Nurse Practice Act
- Demonstrates caring attitudes and behaviors to develop therapeutic relationships and engage in patient and family teaching as appropriate

Minimum Requirements :
Education / Licensure / Certification :
o Current BLS
o ACLS - required within 1 year
o PALS and / or ENPC - required within 1 year
o TNCC - required within 1 year
o STABLE - required within 1 year
o NRP - required within 1 year

Compensation Range : $33.53 to $50.29
