Job Summary :
The Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a Systems / Lan Administrator who will be responsible for the technical development and maintenance of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Information Technology systems and services. This position will also be responsible for maintaining mission-critical networks in optimal operation performance, installing end-user software / hardware, computer imaging, remote troubleshooting issues, and problem solving complex technical systems utilizing advanced networking technologies.
Job Duties :
- Troubleshoots complex hardware and software problems in support of end-users
- Answers incoming phone calls with a strong emphasis on customer service
- Installs, configures, and upgrades client workstation operating systems and applications
- Initiates and enforces network security via passwords, anti-virus software, and intruder detection programs
- Creates, modifies, moves, and deletes user accounts in conjunction with customer service
- Plans, tests, and implements Local and Wide Area Network development specifications
- Prepares reports and develops technical implementation plans
- Attends training classes, seminars and keeps abreast of current industry trends
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and possibly a medical / physical examination.

Retirement :
Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
