We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with cherry picking, reach trucks, or forklifts. However, training is available for those eager to learn. Warehouse experience is advantageous. You must be willing to train on an order picker (cherry picker) and comfortable with heights. Until fully trained, responsibilities may include hand picking, packing, or working in the shipping area. Once trained, your primary duties will involve operating a cherry picker and picking products for shipping. Meeting the picking rates set by the client is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate cherry picker and pick products for shipping.
• Train on order picker and overcome any fear of heights.
• Hand pick, pack, and work in the shipping area as needed.
• Achieve picking rates required by the client.
• Participate in RF scanning and warehouse tasks.

Essential Skills

• Experience in picking, packing, or forklift operation is preferred.
• Familiarity with RF scanning and warehouse operations.
• Ability to work at heights without fear.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

Work Environment

This role is based in a parts distribution center for a manufacturer of large cleaning and sweeping machines. The facility is not climate-controlled, so shorts and tank tops are acceptable attire. The environment can be hot in the summer and cool in the winter, with extra breaks and refreshments provided if temperatures exceed 97 degrees. The pace is manageable but meeting goals is expected. Be prepared to work overtime if needed, with shifts starting at 7am, 8am, 10am, or 1:30pm. Trainers and leads are easily identified by their light blue and dark blue shirts, respectively.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
