Your Role as an Assistant Therapeutic Recreation Director:
As the Assistant Therapeutic Recreation Director at Civita Care Center at Newington, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with the planning and coordination of therapeutic recreational activities for our residents. Your expertise as an Assistant Therapeutic Recreation Director will shine as you work closely with our Therapeutic Recreation Director to develop engaging programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents. This is an ideal position for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who is currently enrolled in a therapeutic recreation education program and dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through recreational activities.
Responsibilities:
In this vital role as an Assistant Therapeutic Recreation Director, you will be responsible for:
Assisting in the planning and implementation of therapeutic recreational programs
Engaging with residents to assess their interests and preferences
Coordinating and facilitating group activities and events
Ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants
Collaborating with the Therapeutic Recreation Director to evaluate program effectiveness
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role as an Assistant Therapeutic Recreation Director, you should meet the following criteria:
Previous experience in therapeutic recreation or a related role is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Creative and adaptable with a passion for enhancing residents' well-being
