Travel Cath Lab Tech Job Details

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2030 - $2190 per week

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (October 6, 2025 – January 3, 2026)

Location : Wausau, WI 54401 – Central Wisconsin healthcare jobs

Facility Setting : Hospital – Cardiovascular Surgical Tech Unit

Shift : 8-hour days, 6 : 30 AM – 3 : 00 PM, Monday through Friday

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

On-Call : 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month, 1 backup per week; 30-minute response time required

Weekend / Holiday : Every 3rd to 4th weekend; holiday rotation

Floating : May be required to float to other Central Aspirus locations

Cath Lab Technologist Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Cath Lab Tech or Cardiovascular OR Tech

Prior travel healthcare experience required

Level 2 trauma hospital experience preferred

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or Surgical Tech Certificate preferred

Current AHA BLS certification required

CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) license preferred

Cardiac, thoracic, and robotic surgery experience required

Reliable personal vehicle required (rideshare not permitted due to on-call needs)

Proficient in setting up operative suites, scrubbing surgical cases, and room turnover

Flexible, motivated, and able to manage downtime productively

Strong work ethic, resilience, and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Cath Lab Tech Responsibilities

Prepare and set up operative suites with necessary supplies for cardiovascular procedures

Scrub in for a variety of cardiac and thoracic surgical cases, including robotic-assisted surgeries

Efficiently turn over rooms for multiple procedures daily

Participate in on-call rotation and respond within 30 minutes as required

Float to other Central Aspirus healthcare locations as needed

Assist with downtime tasks such as pulling case carts and cleaning

Collaborate with a team of 3 cardiothoracic surgeons on approximately 50-60 cases per month

Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills in a dynamic clinical setting
