Responsibilities Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a hospital setting Unit has 12 staffed beds with an average daily census of 12 Patient population includes those with pulmonary issues, liver failure, kidney disease, DKA, and sepsis Manage patients on mechanical ventilation, Bipap, Airvo, CRRT, and multiple drip titrations Epic charting system is used in this unit Day shift schedule (5x8 hours, 8 : 00-16 : 30) No block scheduling is permitted Floating may be required within scope, including to sister facilities up to 75 miles away Expected to provide comprehensive care for patients with advanced cardiovascular and multi-system conditions Must be comfortable administering multiple titrated drips and managing critical care equipment Team members must be willing to float to other areas or facilities as needed Orientation includes 2–8 hours of mandatory module completion, varying by specialty No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be considered for each 13-week contract, with no holiday RTO allowed Scrub color or dress code details will be communicated during onboarding First-time travelers are not eligible for this position Two supervisory references required for consideration Requirements Active OK or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU or critical care experience required Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Must have demonstrated competency in ICU-level skills Experience with mechanical ventilation, Bipap, and CRRT required Prior Interventional Radiology, ED, PACU, or current critical care experience expected Candidate's permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility No local candidates accepted Must provide a current driver’s license and a utility bill with matching address dated within the past three months Must not have been employed by the facility or health system within the past year Pending state licenses not accepted No license hits or disciplinary actions accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-615668.
