The Retention & Student Success Department is seeking Learning & Tutoring Center Supervisor to join the already awesome team taking the Retention & Student Success Department to the next level of excellence!

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Supervisor reports directly to the Learning & Tutoring Center Program Manager to assist in managing the center. The work includes planning, staffing, budgeting, payroll processing, and tutoring. The Lab Supervisor manages daily operations of his or her respective lab (math / science or writing labs) and assures high quality delivery of LTC services, including tutoring, instructional software, workshops, and other academic support services that enable students to succeed and excel at Georgia State University's Perimeter College. The Supervisor collaborates with faculty and staff to develop and implement plans to ensure that the labs meet students' evolving needs.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS :

The position requires working knowledge in computer applications, computer operations, and word processing.

Qualifications

Minimum Hiring Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a combination of education and experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications :

At least two years' experience in an academic setting, either as a teacher or tutor, combined with at least one year of managerial or supervisory experience. A comparable combination of education and experience may be considered.
