Job descriptionProvide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and / or potential hazards. Observe and report any irregularities or suspicious activities around the utilities location. Maintain detailed logs and reports of patrol activities and any incidents encountered during the shift. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members as needed. Support access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site protocols. Assist Allied Universal and / or client representatives with other security-related duties as assigned. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Security Officer - Utilities Patrol
As a Security Officer - Utilities Patrol in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff and visitors. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming atmosphere. You will be counted on to provide exceptional customer service, handle various security-related situations with professionalism, and communicate clearly with those you encounter.
