Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,362 per week in West Burlington, IA

Job Title : RN Labor and Delivery Profession : RN Specialty : Labor and Delivery Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 07 : 00 AM - 07 : 30 PM Hours per Shift : 12.5 Experience : Minimum 2 years License : RN License required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP preferred, AWHONN / Fetal Heart Monitoring Must-Have : Basic and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring; NRP; BLS; STABLE preferred not required Description : Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with patients and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high-quality care to patient populations including adolescent and adult females, and neonates. Nurses function in all capacities : labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, nursery, and NICU. The unit has 1 operating room for C-sections. A team of midwives and OB / GYNs collaborate in delivering care. Pediatric Hospitalists are responsible for the nursery and NICU. Staff may be utilized in the Pediatric Department or acute care in specific circumstances. The unit includes 12 labor and delivery rooms, 3 triage beds, 16 nursery beds, and 3 NICU beds. Required to assist in C-sections but only responsible for the baby during the procedure. Staff will not scrub into C-sections. Level 2 Nursery experience is preferred.
