Line Clearance Trimmer Trainee (IV)

Vegetation & Line Clearance-IV

Under direct supervision, performs a variety of skilled line clearance operations, which include clearing vegetation or debris away from overhead electrical transmission and distribution lines or other electrical infrastructure; and may perform work within safe distance around energized power lines from low to high voltage lines, in accordance to Cal-OSHA and other applicable regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

High school equivalency with supplemental college or technical courses in forestry, botany, environmental science or other related field and one year experience of general tree maintenance or related work.

A valid Class "A" driver's license issued by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles is required or ability to obtain within seven months from date of hire. A negative drug test is required as a condition of employment. Employees must notify supervision when applying for a position.
