Tax Manager

Position Overview

The Senior Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the tax compliance and planning processes for individuals, corporations, LLCs, and partnerships. This role involves providing strategic tax advice, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and optimizing tax liabilities for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage tax compliance for individuals, corporations, LLCs, and partnerships.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize client tax liabilities.
  • Review and prepare federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior tax staff on complex tax issues.
  • Stay updated on tax legislation and industry trends to provide informed advice to clients.
  • Conduct tax research and prepare written analyses on various tax matters.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in tax accounting or tax management.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
  • Experience with tax planning for individuals and businesses of various structures (LLCs, partnerships, corporations).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
