Business Analyst

POSITION DESCRIPTION :

The business analyst will work closely with the Project Manager to actively engage with users and stakeholders, define and document requirements, validate business processes, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

• Bachelors of Science in Business Analytics, or related field
• 5+ years of experience
• Extensive experience in large scale design and implementation projects
• Experience working on data analysis
• Masters in Business Administration or related field (desired)
• Experience with education systems or public sector workflows (desired)

CERTIFICATIONS :

• CBAP (Certified Business Analyst Professional)

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Analyze and document existing functionality and identify optimization opportunities
• Translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements
• Work closely with the project manager and developers to ensure accurate solution delivery
• Develop and maintain business documentation throughout the entire developmental process
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data to make business recommendations
• Assist with end user training, adoption, and retention
• Create and maintain training documentation and artifacts like training manuals, walk through videos / demos, etc.

SKILLS :

• Proficiency in MS Visio / Lucid Chart, MS Project, and Jira
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python, or other data analysis programming languages
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
• Strong understanding of business operations
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Strong critical thinking skills to draw conclusions based on datasets
