Job Title : Low Voltage Electrician Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Low Voltage Electrician to join our team as a technician. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of low voltage electrical systems, with a primary focus on fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial settings.

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and maintain fire alarm systems and other low voltage systems such as security and access control.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Pull, terminate, and label low voltage wiring and cabling.
  • Program and configure fire alarm control panels and related devices.
  • Perform inspections to ensure systems comply with local codes.
  • Troubleshoot and repair system faults and malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades on job sites.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in low voltage electrical work, preferably in fire alarm systems.
  • Working knowledge of electrical codes.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to provide own tools.
  • Specific industry training will assist with a higher pay rate.
  • Experience working with both low voltage and high voltage systems is beneficial but not required.

    Work Environment

    Work primarily occurs in commercial and industrial settings, which may involve exposure to the elements and construction environments. The role requires physical activity, such as lifting up to 50 lbs, working on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces, and operating in various environmental conditions both indoors and outdoors.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to hire position based out of Savannah, Georgia.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00 / hr.
