Location : Clearfield, Utah (Onsite)

Position Overview :

Rock Exotica is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily assembly and production operations at our Clearfield, Utah facility. This leadership role requires direct oversight of production teams, ensuring quality, safety, and output standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing supervision, a passion for continuous improvement, and ideally a connection to the outdoors or climbing industry.

Responsibilities :

  • Supervise daily assembly and production operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and output targets are consistently met.
  • Oversee work center production reporting, scrap management, and quality assurance processes.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with work instructions, production logs, ERP transactions, and production goals.
  • Coordinate equipment preventative maintenance and repairs in collaboration with the maintenance team.
  • Conduct work center inspections to ensure tools, calibration, and preventative maintenance protocols are in compliance.
  • Supervise and lead 2–4 team leads and approximately 20 assemblers.
  • Partner with HR and the CEO on hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews, with the goal of fully owning these responsibilities over time.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, motivation, and continuous improvement across the team.
  • Conduct daily team huddles and ensure effective communication with cross-functional departments including Engineering, Quality, and HR.
  • Ensure ERP and process compliance through accurate usage of Job Entry, Job Tracker, and Shop Tracker systems.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct and report on 5S audits and Lean manufacturing compliance.
  • Record and report rework, scrap trends, and inventory management issues to support process improvement.
  • Support documentation control and coordinate process changes with Engineering and Quality.

Must-Have Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing supervisory experience, preferably in an assembly environment.
  • Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage production teams, processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with Paylocity, Assembly Boards, and Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as Epicor.
  • Familiarity with production equipment such as riveters, pull testers, and related machinery.
  • A personal passion for the outdoors or climbing, understanding our product and user base is a big plus.
  • Experience leading motivational initiatives and fostering operational accountability.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, and arms.
  • Regularly required to grasp and manipulate small parts and tools with precision and dexterity.
  • Must be able to stand and / or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Requires walking, stooping, bending, and reaching above shoulder height and below waist height.
  • Visual acuity required for reading instructions and inspecting parts and products.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in a moderate-to-high noise manufacturing environment.
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection, and closed-toe footwear.
  • Compensation & Benefits :

  • Base Salary : $59,000 – $70,000 annually
