LocumJobsOnline is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Hospitalist MD in Clarksburg, West Virginia, 26301!

About The Position

We are seeking a Hospitalist Physician in West Virginia for a 192-day locum tenens assignment starting on Dec 15, 2025. This role involves shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM or 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM, Sunday through Saturday, providing care in hospital settings.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Admit and manage all aspects of care for hospitalized medical patients
  • Perform admission duties including history and physical examinations
  • Evaluate and treat patients, order and interpret diagnostic studies
  • Discuss end-of-life preferences and advanced care planning
  • Consult with sub-specialists and coordinate care with primary care physicians
  • Manage discharge processes ensuring appropriate follow-up
  • Provide care to patients in critical / acute care settings
  • Perform procedures such as abscess incision and drainage, thoracentesis, and lumbar puncture

    • Additional Information

  • Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Required certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment
