The News Anchor serves as the primary presenter of news stories and other content across all platforms, delivering information in a clear, engaging, and meaningful manner to news consumers.

Position : 9pm Co-Anchor / MMJ at KAMR Local 4 News, Amarillo, Texas

We are seeking an experienced journalist with at least three years of reporting and one year of anchoring experience. The successful candidate will anchor the weekday 9pm newscast, work as an MMJ daily, and assist with producing and other duties. Candidates must be credible, personable, reliable, and team-oriented, with a commitment to community involvement. Please include your resume, references, and a link to your reel. Key Responsibilities :

• Present news stories and content across all platforms.
• Ensure content meets journalistic standards for integrity and quality.
• Write and deliver news stories clearly and concisely.
• Produce newscasts and coordinate with team members.
• Assist with writing, editing, researching, and planning news content.
• Participate as a field reporter when assigned.
• Conduct interviews with news personnel and others.
• Respond promptly to breaking news and urgent situations.
• Engage in promotional activities and public appearances.
• Perform special projects and additional duties as needed.
• Edit video clips as required.
• Create content for websites and social media platforms.
• Engage with viewers and users on social media.
