The Data Engineering Graduate internship experience is an 10.5 weeks full-time opportunity that starts on May 27th, 2026, and concludes on August 7th, 2026.

This is a hybrid position with 3 days (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in the New York, NY; Hartford, CT; Irving, TX or Wellesley, MA office locations. The other 2 days each week may be worked remotely from home, another location, or you’re welcome to be in the office on those days as well.

The hourly rate is $55 / hr with 40 hours / week, no work on July 4th (company holiday), and two days of paid leave. Additionally, our corporate interns have an increased likelihood to receive an offer for a future role with CVS Health.

Sponsorship :

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

Relocation :

CVS Health follows a hybrid work model providing office-based colleagues the ability to flex between working in the office and working from home based on the work you need to accomplish. Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that need to move over 50 miles.

What You’ll Do :

This graduate-level internship offers hands-on experience with advanced data engineering projects, mentorship, and exposure to enterprise-scale analytics. You’ll work on initiatives that require deeper technical expertise and strategic thinking, including :

Designing and building robust data pipelines to organize, standardize, and integrate data from diverse sources

Developing ETL processes and tools for real-time and batch analytics

Collaborating with data science and product teams to translate user stories into technical specifications and implement algorithms and models into automated workflows

Designing and deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for large-scale data processing, computationally intensive modeling, and advanced analytics

Troubleshooting complex issues, identifying root causes, and implementing preventive measures

Applying Agile / SAFe methodologies and contributing to architecture-level discussions

Required Qualifications :

Currently pursuing a Master’s degree with expected graduation between Dec 2026 – June 2027

Experience with :

SQL

Python

ETL and building high-volume data pipelines

Cloud platforms such as (GCP preferred)

Internship or professional experience in a related field

Preferred Qualifications :

Ability to leverage multiple tools and programming languages to analyze and manipulate data from disparate sources

Knowledge of Spark / PySpark

Experience designing and optimizing queries and building data transformation / processing solutions

Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

Education :

Currently pursuing a Master’s degree with expected graduation between Dec 2026 – June 2027

Preferred majors : Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is :

$55.00 - $55.00
