Description :

Our Cardiovascular Center includes two procedure rooms and six holding bays.

We operate a hybrid lab with cath lab, electrophysiology (EP) procedures, and interventional radiology.

We average four catheterizations daily, varying by day.

Procedures performed include cardioversions, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), and IT biopsies.

There is a requirement for ACLS and BLS certifications.

We ship all intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABPs) and Impella devices to a tertiary facility.

Our facility handles acute coronary syndrome (ACS), non-ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI), ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), atrial fibrillation (AF), and interventional radiology cases.

The electronic medical record systems used are EPIC and MAC LAB.

On-call hours are from 5 : 30 PM to 7 AM on weekdays and from 5 : 30 PM Friday to 7 AM on weekends.

Each shift has a clinical leader and charge nurse.

The template schedule includes 7 AM to 3 : 30 PM, 7 AM to 5 : 30 PM, and 9 AM to 5 : 30 PM.

Call requirements include a minimum of one weeknight and one weekend each month, as well as one major holiday per year.

A 30-minute response time is required for on-call duties.

There is no floating between units.

Scrubs will be provided.
