Job Description

SUMMARY : Responsible for the management of the Maintenance and Facilities departments, implementing and ensuring the operations are efficient and productive in completing assigned projects and duties and in compliance with CGRC standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following : Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members. Performs excellent customer service at all times. Ensures all mechanical equipment is in working condition, all worn parts are replaced, and parts inventory stock is maintained. Monitors the management of the Waste Water Treatment Plan. Ensures proper preventative maintenance measures are being implemented and documented to maintain adequate operations and to protect the assets of the organization. Directs the overall management of the maintenance functions in the absence of the Director of Facilities. Approves and reviews all recommendations and suggestions to hire, transfer, suspend, assign, evaluate, and discharge assigned staff. Ensure communication of pertinent company information by holding regular staff meetings. Assist with development of department budget, project scheduling, and staff planning. Implements safety programs with necessary training and monitoring to ensure all Team Members are operating in compliance with safety requirements to ensure a hazard free establishment. Conducts daily inspections of property and project areas to ensure efficient operations and to trouble shoot any problems or breakdowns. Ensures all general maintenance and repairs of minor problems throughout the property are promptly and correctly done and major concerns are raised to the attention of the appropriate persons. Monitors utility usage trends and make recommendations for energy saving modifications. Ushers as needed by management for events. Performs any reasonable request made by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : Directly supervises all shift supervisors, Predictive / Preventative Maintenance Manager, WWTP Manager, and Administrative Assistant Dispatch. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required. EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE : Bachelor's Degree in construction / facilities management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience that enables performance in all aspects of the position. Must have a minimum of five years experience in facilities / construction management in a casino / hotel environment. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS : Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required. Must have professional knowledge of and / or certifications in HVAC, BAS, plumbing, electrical, mechanical equipment, and water treatment. LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY : Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. PHYSICAL DEMANDS : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Team member is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The Team Member frequently is required to stand; walk, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Team Member is occasionally required to sit. The Team Member will frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT : The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock and radiation. The Team Member occasionally works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. The Team Member will be exposed to a smoke filled environment when on the casino floor.
