SCADA ENGINEER

CLIENT is seeking a SCADA Engineer to join our team of Engineering Professionals. Due to the nature of our work as a Federal Contractor, you must be a US Citizen.

CLIENT is a full-service electric utility solutions engineering firm with more than twenty years' experience in electrical utility system ownership, upgrades, maintenance and operations through our sister company, CLIENT offers a wide range of power system engineering services to investor-owned, municipal, cooperative, government, industrial, and commercial customers.

The SCADA Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation and optimization of SCADA and ADMS systems for clients. Position will include conceptual design of systems, preparing performance specifications, executing detailed design and integration, and ongoing maintenance of the systems.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Will configure, program, and deploy SCADA hardware and software components, including Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and communication protocols.
• Ensure SCADA systems adhere to industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect SCADA systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Diagnose and resolve SCADA system malfunctions and software bugs. Perform routine maintenance, software updates, and system backups.
• Analyze real-time and historical data to identify trends, and potential issues.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of SCADA system configurations, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Provide lifecycle engineering for the systems from concept, performance specifications, implementation / integration
• Work collaboratively with other engineering team members to enhance their understanding of SCADA systems and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Gain and maintain intermediate knowledge of power system protection and relaying schemes for electrical distribution system.
