State Controller Financial Specialist I
The Office of the State Controller (OSC) is interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas at this time. The mission of the Office of the State Controller (OSC) is to protect the financial integrity of the State and promote accountability in an objective and efficient manner.
This position is based in Raleigh, but a hybrid or fully remote work arrangement is possible. This position does not require overnight travel. For CPA candidates, this position reports to a licensed CPA allowing you to fulfill the experience requirement for licensing.
Description of Work : This position is assigned to the Statewide Accounting Division (SA), Accounting and Financial Reporting Section (AFR) and is a member of the professional team that provides timely, reliable, consistent, and complete financial reports from the North Carolina Accounting System (NCFS) for central managers and agency management purposes.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements : Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or a related discipline from an appropriately accredited institution with 18 credit hours of accounting coursework; and two years of accounting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
