Job description

Veteran Health Indiana is actively seeking an excellent Cardiac Surgeon to join our growing program in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. Selected candidate may be considered for a faculty appointment and potential dual employment at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

  • Sign on bonus opportunity and may qualify for the Education Debt Reduction Program (up to $200K over a 5-year period)

Qualifications :

  • MD or DO degree
  • ABTS Certified or equivalent
  • 5 years experience strongly preferred
  • Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia.

    Pay : Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

    Paid Time Off : 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible up to 5 day paid absence for CME. Opportunity for paid Parental leave.

    Retirement : Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA

    Insurance : Federal health / vision / dental / term life (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
