The Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at Inova Fairfax Medical is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse who is looking to specialize in Cardiovascular Surgery! This position offers the opportunity to be trained to support 7 CVORs for adult and pediatric surgery. Our Program is the 9th busiest heart transplant program in the country as of January 2023 and performed a total of 100 transplants (heart and lung) in our cardiac ORs in 2022. We are also in the top 2% in the country for TAVR volume. Sign on Bonus & Relocation Available.

Work Schedule : Full time; 3 / 13hr. shifts or 4 / 10hr. shifts. Must be available to take call and rotate weekends, holidays and off-shifts.

The CVOR is located on the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus within the Inova Heart and Vascular Institute (IHVI) for adult cardiac surgery and Inova Women’s and Children’s Hospital for pediatric / congenital cardiac surgery. The CVORs are state of the art with Stryker integrated video and a Philips (Single Plane) Hybrid OR with a total of 7 operating rooms serving all cardiac surgery needs including thoracic organ transplant (heart and lung), mechanical circulatory support, structural heart, congenital, and advanced aortic surgery.
