Residential Garbage Route Driver

Kahut Waste Services, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety rockstar Residential Garbage Route Driver to join the team in Canby, & Clackamas, Oregon. This position will be driving an Automated Side Load Garbage Truck. Schedule is Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays. Shift is 5 : 30 AM until the route is completed. This route averages about 850 stops / day. Overtime available and drivers work 45 hours / week on average. Starting wage is $34.50 / HR.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Operating an automated side load garbage truck on a specified route.
• Ability to read route tablet and service each customer identified on the route tablet or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
• Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
• Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift / load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
• Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
