Job Title : CT Tech Profession : CT Tech Specialty : Radiology Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 09 : 00-19 : 30 Hours per Shift : 10.5 Experience : Minimum 2 years License : Florida State DOH License Certifications : ARRT (CT), BLS Must-Have : Candidates must have a strong background in CT Imaging and experience with GE and Meditech equipment. Description : Unit information includes a 24-bed capacity with 14 staff members. The team consists of Radiologists, Ultrasound Techs, MRI Techs, and CT Techs. Day shift supervision includes a Director, a Radiologist, and 6-7 Techs. Night shift staffing varies with a Charge RN, an on-call team, and 3-4 Techs, depending on patient volume. Patient ratios are typically 1 : 1 or 1 : 2, depending on the stability of the patient. All equipment used is GE, including MRI units, scanners, cameras, X-ray, and fluoroscopy. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. Call requirements are typically 4-6 shifts per month on off days. Typical procedures performed include CT scans, MRI, body scanning, and X-rays. The role requires the ability to create images of bones, organs, and tissues for accurate assessment. Strong communication skills and medical knowledge are essential. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to multi-task are required. It is important to work well with a variety of physicians, radiologists, and patients. Dress code requires all staff to wear black scrubs and provide their own attire.
