Job purpose   Staff Accountants at BELAY play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to our financial solutions clients.

They support multiple client accounts and serve as integral members of each client’s accounting team.

This is a client-facing position (not an internal corporate role), acting as the primary point of contact for day-to-day accounting matters and actively participating in regular client meetings.

They thrive in the details, apply critical thinking, and work independently to produce accurate, timely results across their portfolio of clients.

Staff Accountants are proactive problem solvers who identify issues early and collaborate closely with their managers to ensure a seamless, high-quality client experience.

Duties and responsibilities As a BELAY Team member, you will professionally represent the company in all virtual and in-person interactions.

Staff Accountants are the foundation to the success of our client teams.

They are the main point of contact for accounting-related communications and assist in regular client meetings.

They are critical thinkers, work independently, and ensure positive outcomes across all of their client work, bringing any concerns to the attention of their manager immediately.

Key Responsibilities :

• Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Payroll Account Reconciliation Sales Tax Cash Flow Management Accounting-related email communication on behalf of the client Represent BELAY Financial with a high-level of professionalism in all communications Qualifications This role requires a motivated and trustworthy self-starter with strong communication and technological skills who thrives both independently and on a team.

Bachelor's degree or a year or more of accounting related experience A knack for producing work with a high-level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills Financial statement understanding Debit and credit understanding Systems Knowledge, like Gusto, QuickBooks Online, Fathom, Cin7, or similar cloud-based accounting, payroll, and / or business management software Ability to manage time and workload in a remote environment Professional, kind and proactive in all client-facing communication (written and on camera) Bonus Points If Our Staff Accountant Has :

• Experience with accounting for startup, project / service-based companies, and / or omnichannel inventory-based companies Advanced experience in client-facing or customer service roles Advanced experience with QuickBooks Online, Amazon, Shopify, or other modern e-commerce sales channels Working on, or planning to earn a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license Working conditions BELAY offers full-time remote work, requiring a dedicated, distraction-free home office for standard Monday-Friday business hours, with occasional travel for some roles.
