Job Summary

The primary purpose of the Accounts Payable Specialist position is to maintain the accuracy of the Company's accounts payable records, manage and process outgoing payments to vendors, clients, or customers, and work with vendors and management to resolve any payment issues.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Review and enter invoices and related data; confirm correct accounting codes were used.
• Process weekly check runs.
• Serve as a backup to process payments to vendors as approved.
• Match vendor invoices to receiving documents and related purchase orders.
• Review vendor account statements and take necessary action.
• Enter vendor information into the accounting software system.
• Set up and maintain accounting files and records, including confidential information.
• Support / assist Accounts Receivable team members as needed.
• Adhere to and support all safety policies and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
