SERVICE OPERATIONS ENGINEER (Power Conversion / Industrial Energy Systems)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
An international leader in high-power conversion units and high-precision Direct Current measurement systems is seeking a motivated professional to support its U.S. operations. The company delivers integrated, customer-focused solutions for power conversion and energy monitoring across multiple industrial sectors.
The Service Operations Engineer role in Columbus, Ohio, is a hybrid technical and commercial position combining engineering, project coordination, and customer management. Reporting functionally to the European headquarters, the role manages both commercial activities (offers, sales pipeline, client relations) and technical operations (project execution, resource planning, and engineering support).
The selected candidate will coordinate local sales, service, and back-office teams, ensuring alignment with international standards while promoting efficiency in post-sales service and business development across the organization.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Report to European headquarters and ensure alignment of U.S. service operations with global standards.
- Manage commercial offers, customer relationships, and support service-related sales activities.
- Coordinate technical project execution, ensuring compliance with specifications, deadlines, and KPIs.
- Supervise and support the sales, field service, and back-office teams in daily operations.
- Maintain and update the service offer and project pipeline.
- Organize and monitor travel plans and on-site technical interventions.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in service, retrofitting, and modernization.
HARD SKILLS
Solid understanding of electrical and electronic systems for power converters.Experience in a similar technical or technical-commercial role.Proven ability to manage service operations, technical offers, and sales processes.Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM / ERP systems.Competence in coordinating field activities and providing technical troubleshooting.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.SOFT SKILLS
