National Salvage & Service is looking to hire a Demolition / Environmental Estimator for our Demolition Division.
- In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in quantity take-offs, estimating, and plan reviews to help drive our civil and demolition projects to success.
- This position offers hands-on involvement with cutting-edge estimating software, including Planswift and Sharpsoft.

Essential Job Functions :
Perform accurate quantity take-offs for materials and demolition workReview and interpret project plans to provide detailed estimatesGather proposals, blueprints, and specifications for work to be estimatedComplete cost analysis for Labor, Material, and TimeBuild and maintain a database for cost analysisIdentify time requirements, labor and material use proposals, blueprints, and specificationsManage multiple projects with firm deadlinesUtilize a unique perspective on problem resolution by collecting and analyzing informationInterpret project specifications, drawings, and contractsAttend pre bid meetings, understanding bid documents to include plans and specsQualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator or a similar roleExceptional mathematic skillsOutstanding problem-solving skillsExcellent presentation and communication skillsProficient with Microsoft OS : Word, Excel, Power PointDetail-oriented, with a preference for high quality and technical expertiseHighly precise and diligent demeanor, focused on follow through, takes pride in getting the task done on time and correctlyAbility to remain flexible to lead multiple work streams to execute a plan and complete a projectIndependent, while maintaining a focus on team successDesire to build and maintain sincere relationships, working ethically and accurately within established guidelinesStrong understanding of rules and regulationsExperience with demolition of Heavy-Industrial, Commercial, or Municipal SitesWorking knowledge of construction-related software and OSHA 30Physical Requirements : Stand, Walk, Climb, Bend, Twist, Move Throughout the Day, Use Hands in Repetitive Motions, Repeat Same Movements, walkon uneven terrain, Lift 50 pounds, Able to drive for long periods of time, Exposed to Loud Noises, and all-weather elements.
