Job Description We are seeking a skilled and talented Marine Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of marine engines, systems, and components and communicating with customers and team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Responsibilities- Conduct regular preventative maintenance and routine repairs to marine engines, systems, and components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues with marine vessels, including fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and more.
- Perform installation and commissioning of new marine equipment and systems, including engines, navigation instruments, communication systems, and more.
- Always follow safety procedures, ensuring that proper safety equipment is used and procedures are followed.
- Keep accurate records of all work performed on customer's vessels and submit paperwork in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Marine technician certification or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of marine mechanical systems and components, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, fuel systems, and more.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Willing to work extended hours as needed, including weekends.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
