Los Rios Community College District is hiring : Commercial Music Adjunct Assistan

Position Summary The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for this part-time, temporary Adjunct faculty position. The adjunct faculty member shall be responsible for teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean; helping students fulfill their potential in mastering course content; assessing student learning outcomes; maintaining up-to-date knowledge in their teaching field; continuing professional development; utilizing current technology in the performance of job duties; maintaining professional conduct and ethics; assisting with articulation and curriculum development and review; serving on college committees and participating in faculty governance including accreditation and student co-curricular activities; and fulfilling other duties as assigned by the area dean.

Position Salary Information : Initial maximum salary placement is based on academic degree, upper / graduate level units earned, and / or related professional occupation experience per the Los Rios College Federation of Teachers Contract (the initial maximum placement is Class V, Step 1). Typical Duties The instructional assignment primarily includes teaching :

MUSM 306 Live Sound Reinforcement

MUSM 306 Live Sound Reinforcement provides training on state-of-the-art skills and trends in live sound productions for concert venues, theaters, places of worship, and schools. Students develop skills in programming and operating multiple advanced digital console systems and digital audio connectivity in addition to traditional analog systems. Students also develop proficiency in correctly configuring speaker systems that are acoustically appropriate for the venue. Students gain competency in mic placement and choice, dynamics operation, and use of effects.

The instructional assignment may also include, but is not limited to, teaching the following courses :

MUSM 334 Introduction to Midi

MUSM 342 Recording Studio Techniques 1

MUSM 311 Intro to Music Business

MUSM 314 Business of Music Marketing

Minimum Qualifications Have a bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience; OR any associate degree and six years of professional experience; OR the equivalent. Professional experience must be directly related to the assignment being taught. All degrees must be from an accredited institution completed by time of hire.
